Darkstar
The Golden Palm of the Viper. A triplet of criminal families banded together to engage in organized crime, operating out of freeport Snakeyes not far from the Alsinans. This freeport garnered many attractees beyond just the reaches of the Golden Palm, and this led to many discreet deals. A Viper Administrator for a part of the vastness of Freeport Snakeyes approached a pirate lord making his rounds in a local freeport bar. After some long discussion, plotting, and offering of some bribes, the Viper member was able to strike a deal with the pirate lord.
Strike at the Gamma-12 refit station.
The station had become a thorn in the side of the Vipers and their beneficiaries, mostly pirates who were struck down by ships who had been repaired or refitted at the station- many of those pirates discreetly owned or under the thumb of a corporate element. The pirate lord, not wanting to go himself, stayed at the bar and simply sent for some of his forces to be dispatched to remove the station, making it one less place the UEG could repair its warships for their anti-piracy campaigns.
THUD, SHRIEK, BANG, WHOOSH
Six warships dropped from FTL using Four different methods.
The largest ship- an ancient TIE vessel of the Victory-V class star destroyer line was repainted rust red. It was heavily modified to carry coilgun emplacements and more plentiful missile batteries, with random, haphazard point defense emplacements thrown onto the hull, and it's main bridge painted with the symbols of the ragtag pirate group. It's name was the Fyre-Kracker, and it was the commanding ship of the ragtag fleet.
The second and third vessels were a pair of old Alsinan Y-class frigates, each one still half their original paint job, with some panels painted that same rust red and coated in white stripes. Their missile batteries torn out in favour of broadside 105mm coilcannons, and extra armour plating slapped on wherever possible. They were named Port and Starboard respectively, as each one had their broadside guns on opposite sides from eachother.
The fourth vessel, dropping out of slipspace, was an ironic display, with a Charon-class light frigate from the olden days of the UEG that had been refitted heavily. It's outer wing-like structure and the split in it's MAC gun covered by more armour had been painted rust-red, and extra coilcannons were clearly slapped on from other wreckages and salvaged vessels of UEG origin, though not all from the same ship. Archer missile pods had been built into the wing-structures, yet they seemed to not even field archer missiles, but rather crude imitations of them. It was named the Chinfinity.
Fifth was an extremely minuscule ship which was dwarfed by all the others, being a small old-Dominion Kiris class picket ship, now renamed the ittly-bit. It was not very heavily modified, and only had that new rust-red and white striped paintjob, and an extra CIWS gun slapped onto it.
Finally, the sixth ship which exited FTL with a powerful, iconic thud, was a scrapped and refitted GBE Wasp-class corvette, presumably rebuilt from losing half of itself as the entire engine block was of a different construction style, blocky and harsh with fission engines spewing nuclear waste. It was repainted that same red and white as the other ships with a black stripe down the middle. It's pre-existing spinal railgun and large point-defense suite was "complemented" (more akin to contrasted) by a low turreted missile battery replacing a coilgun on the top of the vessel, as well as room made on each side for interceptor missile batteries. This vessel was renamed the "Hache M. S. Lokey-onn", likely in mockery of the HMS Lokion, and it had it's name sprawled across the port side of the ship in crude painted lettering.
With this arrival of the fleet not far from the Refit station, they immediately powered their weapons and shields, and hailed the UEG station.
On the screen was a scrawny man with an empty left eye socket and a scraggly, half shaven beard. He was missing some teeth and had one gold plated one- the others so yellow and dirty they could almost pass as gold-plated. His clothes were mismatched, with black cargo pants, a T-shirt with the same symbols on the Fyre-Kracker, and a red-and-white striped tunic over it, an obvious revolver and sabre on his hip, as well as a bandana tied around his short hair. He spoke in a surprisingly smooth, if gruff voice, and in a very demanding, annoyed tone.
"Alright now, you bastards. I dont wanna be here anymore than you, so just fucking surrendah, let us get your arses off the station so we can blow it up, and we can be on our merry-fuckin'-ways, capishe? understando? Just, dont fucking shoot or I wont hesitate to kill erry one-a ya's!" he barked out, baring his teeth in annoyance, with a displeased look in his eyes.
