Terran Citizens Union
History
Pre-History
Long before the Terran Citizens Union (TCU) was founded the Technocratic Terran Empire (TTE) had previous colonial expedition into what they called the "Mullinsky Universe" (Named after the first science ship to enter into this universe) and had a few notable colonies across different galaxies within the universe, however the most active galaxy they found themselves in was G-S16. Here they interacted with a few of the local empires however due to on going wars back in the mother universe, the high centralization of the empire at the time, and escalating conflicts in G-S16 the empire decided to close all gates leading to G-S16 and destroyed any technologies of there's to ensure no un-welcomed empires can re-contact them.
New Beginnings
Due to the TTE's vast territorial expanse and the constant wars, many nations within the TTE would rebel and try to carve out a future for themselves, most being crushed within a few years,one of which being the Terran Citizens Union. the TCU's home territory is located in the staging grounds where the original colonial expedition fleets launched from, and after roughly 2,500 years the coordinates have been re-discovered and a hope for a new frontier has sparked for the citizens of the TCU as the TTE began to close in on the TCU home system. Three colonial fleets were sent out, "Donbavosky", consisting of 3 colony ships, 8 Frigates, and 2 Carriers. "Safarsian", Consisting of 1 colony ship, 3 Kazbek Class mining ships, and 4 Frigates. And "Umut Evi", consisting of 1 colony ship, 2 Carriers, and 12 Corvettes.
Upon arrival the gate blows up as TTE forces move in onto the home system of the TCU, the colonists found themselves with no contact to what they called home and in a completely alien universe, landing on the edge of G-S16 (R1) the colonists soon found suitable planets to colonize along with the remnants from the original TTE colonial force. as they explored further out they ran into an alien race and began to make contact. The TCU at first were unsure of the alien race, however the citizens voted that peaceful contact must be made as they were in no position for a war, and the alien race seemed to not be making any threading actions towards them. As soon as language barriers were broken both the TCU and the alien race identifying themselves as the Avabasi Federation (AF) began to move towards peaceful relations with one another, sharing in trade of goods, maps of local space and most importantly for the TCU, relics of the TTE colonies. over time both nations began to culturally merge through sharing of traditions, territory and linguistically. The AF now exists as a puppet state to the TCU however political merging has became a major subject between the two states and many are moving towards the idea of a shared nation.
First Contact
First contact with an advanced civilization was tense. A alien flotilla jumped into the system that held Vorota Gate, in TCU home space, although there was a basic handbook to deal with meeting alien civilizations, it was more build for exploration fleets running into aliens away from TCU. No one was ready for contact on home soil especially in a key system such as Volota Gate, what worried both citizens and civilians more, was the fact that they found the TCU from a "ping" that was let out when the gate opened and blow up, many fear this will bring hostiles right to them, civilizations might try and use the TCU to re-open these gates, or worse many fear TTE sleeper cells may wake up. Luckily things were resolved, the aliens informed the TCU about a "Galactic Community" and handed them a satellite that gave them access to some sort of galactic wide communications web. After this mess, the Council and Head of State has pushed for a better first contact system
The Treaty of Union
After years of close cooperation the territories of The Avabasi Federation a new agreement has been meet to bring the two Republics under one banner, the new territory of Qwav formally the capital and home world of the Avabasi has been added and now is a added seat to the parliament
Territory and Colonies
The TCU owns a small chunk of territory in the R1 section of G-S16. The capital system was colonized by the "Donbavosky" fleet where they landed on a lush green Earth like planet. they have active outposts in the 12 connecting systems and control 5 planets within those systems and have a active patrol fleet protecting the rout to and from AF territory to prevent any privateering.
Vorota Gate
Vorota Gate is the sister gate that brought the TCU from there home universe to G-S16, however due to the TTE destroying it as the colonial fleet went through the gate, and the G-S16 side already being so heavily damaged it was destroyed beyond repairs, trapping the TCU in G-S16.

Type: Continental
Nova Elista was the first world colonized by 2 colony ships in the "Donbavosky" fleet. Elista was the original home world of the TCU before Vorota Gate was destroyed. Nova Elista is the most populated planet, with a population counting in the 12 million residents Elista quickly became the capital world of the republic and also standing as the cultural hub.
Nova Elista is a "super earth" covered in lush green forests, vast plains, endless lakes and oceans, with major city districts slowly infecting the planet as they grow stretching across the coastlines and river systems, however these cities do try to keep to a natural green look, many of the buildings have green spaces on the roof, skyscrapers exists but most being vertical farms, a clear emphasis has been put on trying to keep the beauty of the planet and not have it be destroyed by the TCU's colonization.
Kreyda is the only moon of Nova Elista and acts as the main shipyard for the Zola system, most materials are imported to Kreyda from surrounding mining operation in the system to feed and power the ship yard, plans are in place to build a ring system between Nova Elista and Kreyda to make transporting of resources and people cheaper and quicker.

Type: Ecumenopolis
Qwevas is the home world of the Avabasi and is the most populated in the entirety of the Republic, the planet once being a world covered by endless plains, slowly became a desert world as the population began to boom and a climate crisis ran unchecked, for years entire portions of the planet were deemed uninhabitable causing major changes to the way the Avabasi viewed their worlds and impact on the environment, however instead of trying to come up with ways to bring back the lush green fields they decided to accelerate the growth of their cities and create their own fields on top of a endless sea of skyscrapers. This planet being the oldest in the Republic being able to survive almost entirely on its own has put it into an interesting position as it does not have any major export aside from the local population wishing to start new lives on new worlds and expand into the outer reaches of the Republic.
Joltva is the only moon of Qwevas and acted as the temporary home world for the Avabasi during the climate crisis of its host planet. like its host planet it too is coverd in long stands of city, covering a large portion og its surface, it also acts as the major shipyard where all ships of the Avabasi were made and launched from, it still acts as a major shipyard however is mostly populated by the local Avabasi population

Type: Desert
Domanivka was settled by the remaining colony ship in the "Donbavosky" fleet. Domanivka has a population of 7 million where most of the population either lives on the coastlines of the few oceans that are dotted around the surface, on the poles of the planet, or in the vast cave systems that were discovered. Despite the harsh climate of Domanivka with the deadly sand storms, highly hostile locals, both fauna and flora, and the tough travel between the cities, the colonists have shown there ability to adapt and prosper. Through this toughness Domanivka has breded the local population to become the major military recruitment hub of the republic and so the Zirka system has became the major navel hub.

Type: Molten
Baku was colonized by the "Safarsian" fleet. The surface of the planet is in constant change, plates will rise from deep within the planet bulling out new minerals before sinking back to the depths, this makes the planet completely uninhabitable, so instead the colony ship was transformed into a central station, housing a large potion of the population, while smaller local stations connected by ships running between each other, and a few creating long bridges connecting to the central station. Baku has became a major producer of raw resources for the republic and many corporations grew from these stations.

Size: .5 masses of Nova Elista
Type: Geothermal
Gomi was colonized by corporate ran programs working with the "planetary" government of Baku to become the first colony not from the old realm. The planet was originally seen as being not colonization due the difficulty to colonize it with the limited resources of the "Safarsian" fleet. The planet is mostly covered in this layers of ice and snow, however small pockets of livable land heated only by large geothermal vents, although many of these are under water, work on draining these pits were put into order and the expanse of livable land continues. Due to the limit on what can be done on the planet it has slowly started to develop in becoming a world focused on furthering technologies mainly thermoforming, however research in other areas has began to pick up.

Size: .25 masses of Nova Elista
Type: Ocean
Sinop was colonized by the "Umut Evi" fleet. The "Umut Evi" fleet was originally the military fleet of the TCU colonial force, however upon reaching the Güneş system and finding Sinop plans soon changed, Sinop is covered in a vast ocean with island chains dotted around the surface, although not many raw resources can be pulled from the surface it has began to grow as a "resort" world, where many from outside of the planet will visit the natural beauty of the planet, and explore the vast ocean. What Sinop does offer in resources are the high quantity of food that it exports. Due to the high traffic of both cargo and visitors has cause for the Güneş system to create a vast network of logistic centers to help organize and smooth the running of space in the republic.
Old Avabasi territory
The Avabasi maintained there own territory as the Avabasi Federation, where they controled 4 systems total, they did have more however those planets voted to join the TCU leaving just the home world of the Avabasi as the last planet in the AF, however after closer cooperation with the TCU a agreement was made and the Threat of Union was singed.
Government
The government system of the TCU is a Citizens State where those who wish to participate in the development of the nation must apply to become a citizen, no birthright is applied, those who wish to become a citizen will be required to work with the government for a select number of years depending on the career they take, it can be from being a simple city cleaner, where the civilian will work for up to 15 years learning how to work with the community and learn how to work with the locals, to military service for 10 years, where they will be taken to do various missions ranging from assisting with local law enforcement, to expedition efforts into the unknown regions. Upon graduation the civilians will be recognized as civilians and be given the benefits for there efforts and given the rights they earned, such as voting rights, land ownership, and specific jobs such as higher education or government positions. Citizen vote for many of the policies and can directly effect the path the republic, however most of the policies they vote for are local.
Head of State: A head of state is voted to represent the republic and is given a position in office for 10 years maximum unless the citizens vote them out. Citizens can apply to become the president through being voted up from local planetary law to republic wide. If enough citizens across each individual planet feel as if the head of state is unable to properly represent them, they can vote for a referendum through, a opportunity for a referendums passed every year where citizens vote rather to go through with it or not, if one gains majority favor across the majority of planets a new voting day will be called where one of the planetary governors will be voted to be the head of state, same can be applied to the planetary government however its only across that planet.
Planetary Governments
Planetary governments have more control over planetary laws and production, however the president can influence planetary laws as long as they do not break the constitution, citizens do have veto power over federal reach. To become a planetary government you must apply to be one through local votes, new planetary governments are voted in every 5 years, there can only be 10 people who can apply to be a planetary government, and from there the citizens across the planet will vote for who they want to lead them
Parliament
After a few rough years, and the addition of the AF into the Republic as a whole, a Parliament was made in hope of brining the Planetary Governors and their local councils in closer cooperation on working on Republic wide issues and discussions. Every month a meeting is called to discuss issues ranging from local planetary issues, to issues facing the Republic as a whole, emergence meets can also be called by any Planetary Governor at any time
Death of the Head of State
If the head of state dies during there 10 year run a emergence government system will take place where the second place planetary governor will take control of office until a new head of state is voted in.

If a Planetary Governor dies within there 5 years run, the second place governor will take control of office until a new one is voted in.
Corporations
Many corporations exists throughout the Republic, however none are more predominant than main 5, Star Forge, Avabasi Securities, Makhabn United, Kamsack Industries, and Atnarok civilian wings,
Star Forge
Star Forge, or Star Forge Civilian and Militant Services is a major producer of general ship parts, ranging from crew rooms to weapon systems.
Avabasi Securities
Avabasi Securities is a Avabasi led ship construction group, striving to bring Avabasi to the military district, they predominantly use energy weapons.
Makhabn United
Makhabn United is another prominent ship building company in the TCU building ships focused on kinetic weaponry.
Kamsack Industries
Kamsack Industries is the 3rd major player in military ship production, working on ships that see both military and citizen markets, although the other corporations have made it to the citizen market, none of them have been able to be as successful as Kamsack Industries
Atnarok civilian wings
Atnarok civilian wings is a major civilian ship production companies, producing many non-military use ship's however some citizens do re-fit these ships with citizen grade weaponry
Culture
Civilians
Civilians are those who were born or migrated into the Republic and live with little to no involvement to the state, civilians get to enjoy the fruits of the citizens labor under there protection and guidance, living a mainly stress free life. Although they may not be allowed to participate directly in the development of the republic they do maintain basic rights, civilians do have property ownership, that being owning of private land and running businesses, they can apply for a driver, fishing, hunting, and gun licenses, and can apply for a free health care system. However there are restrictions on these rights. They can not own specific weapons beyond that for hunting and a few recreational weapons, they can only own a single house and business under there name. Civilians are not considered second class, however there is a understanding of the differences and effort that citizens have made to get to there position.
Applying to become a Citizen
To become a citizen civilians must chose a "career" where they will work with the government and learn how the republic runs, they will work with the people understanding the needs of local communities and gain a grater understanding of the republic as a whole. There is a mandatory 2 years of basic training, and civilians will be given one chance to succeed in there career, if they leave they will have to wait until they are allowed to re-apply, this can be from 5 years to 10 depending on the career they originally chose.
Citizens
Citizens have done there part to ensure that the safety of the civilians, fellow citizens, and the Republic will maintain. Citizens get to enjoy more luxuries, they have no restrictions on ownership of private property and land ownership, they do not need to go through as long as a application prose's for owning licenses, they can apply to a paid health care system where they can get more immediate care, and can actively participate in the republic through voting and becoming politicians.
Naming system
After the colony fleets settled down on there new found homes many of the colonists decided to adopt the ending of the fleet names into there last names, they chose to do this to help further a new identity, culture, and history for themselves.
Races
Humans dominate the TCU however unlike the TTE mother empire the TCU allows for alien races to become civilians and even apply for citizen rights with no restrictions.
Humans
The Humans of the TCU are a strong, passionate, and have a Pioneer spirit to them, there natural live expectancy is 100 years however due to technical advancements in both cybernetic and genetic engineering the average Human can easily live up too 150. Humans of the TCU view individualism and freedom as absolute necessities, seeing those who violate these natural rights to be tyrannical power lusting dictators
Avabasi
The Avabasi are the only alien group in the TCU, they were pre-FTL race before the TCU ran into them, they are a tall Arthropod race, many in different shades of gray, brown and yellow, and are a highly intelligent, most have cybernetic implants, however they had a sort natural life span compared to the Humans, the oldest growing to only be 75.
Technology
FTL
There are 3 main forms of FTL used by the TCU, Warp Drives, Gateways, and Dimension Drives
Warp Drive
Warp Drives are a on-board FTL drive that allows ships to easily reach distant stars, these drives were created by the TCU
Gateways
Gateways are large structures that connect two systems together shortening the space between them greatly while also not requiring the ship to have any FTL drives on them, these gates were created by the AF and are heavily used in home territory
Dimension Drives
Dimension Drives were created by the TTE, it is a two part system, the primary requires a specially made station that runs the majority of the work to launch a ship to its destination, the secondary is a drive on ships to link the ships to the station opening a portal to there destination, upon entering the chosen system a beacon is dropped to save the location and whenever the fleet is ready to return they active the beacon a portal re-appears and the fleet returns to the station. The TCU only have one of these active and only gives limited range

The TCU Nave uses mostly smaller scaled warships and strike craft the largest being carriers, due to limits on the current infrastructure the largest the TCU can build with ease are there Frigates but they can expand there production to destroyers after focusing resources and man power

Mysteries of the TTE relics
Vorota Gate:
Vorota Gate is the first TTE relic the TCU has come across being the gate that brought them to the galaxy. This game is the only one to be known of its kind as it links the TTE dimension to the one the TCU now reside in, the gate on the TTE side was blown up when the TCU fled and hops are the damage was enough to secure safety from the TTE entirely, discussion over destroying the exit gate has been discussed however majority have voted to keep it as a reminder as to what granted their freedom and brought them to a new life.
