Embassy Planetary News, 6pm broadcast
“…this concludes our report on the ongoing council meeting surrounding the Denarian situation, more to come later.”

"In other news, the Director of the Embassy made an unusual appearance earlier today, announcing the opening of a new center of learning within the capital. The “Embassy Institute for Aligned Study” is apparently going to be a college focused on the teaching and study of Alignment Theory headed by the Director himself. The stated rationale behind such an establishment was outlined, quote: “Many Aligned Theologists today do their studies with their own resources, and keep their discoveries to themselves. This is a terrible way to conduct research in a modern era, as not only does it limit peer review, but it prevents others from learning and building upon one’s discoveries.” end quote. Despite this lofty goal, the Institute was described as open to all, from experts in the field to complete beginners, with low tuition and residential fees to enable all to study."

“When asked about the timing of the opening, the Director stated that efforts had been ongoing for a while now, and that the Denarian situation had little impact…”

Many across the galaxy whom Raasha had personally met, and a handful more whose reputation preceded them, received personal invitations from the man himself. Whether they elected to arrive was another matter. Raasha himself stood at the gates to the modest campus a few days later, waiting to greet any arrivals to his latest project.

Despite the supposed immense power contained within the entity, Raphael was not immune to the vacuum of space. With a pressurized suite “it”, or rather they, had salvaged, they placed themselves in direct view of the systems star. They then summoned several hardlight rods around it which bursted into energetic photon beams. The resulting energy bent space in such a way that Raphael simply warped to the embassy from UDM space thanks to their single mechanical eye, constructed at a quantum level. It appalled Raphael, but it helped nonetheless. Looking at a star map was enough to find the embassy with their naked eye.

Among the first to arrive was a man wearing an armored exoskeleton that seems to have been hastily modified for space operations, Raasha did recall sending an invitation to the head of R&D aboard the Three ships that arrived “from another universe”, mostly out of curiosity, but this man didn’t look like anything like the man he’d invited.

The armored man approaches and states: “I am Athan Antonov, representing the head of Foundation R&D, due to his busy schedule he has elected to send me instead in his place, he wishes to assure you i will do fine in his place, if you wish to speak to him directly, i can get you a comms line with him at most times of the day”

He extends his hand for a shake and waits for Raasha to return the gesture.

The being Athan found himself greeting was rather unusual. Raasha was a quadruped for starters, sitting like a dog just inside the gate. He was covered in a black and dark orange pelt, which combined with the large tail, made him appear not unlike a fox. He was rather big, more comparable to a horse in size than any canine the man had heard of. Two pairs of eyes stared back at him as the Embassy’s Director raised a forepaw to meet the man’s gesture.

R: “A pleasure to have you here. You are certainly one of the more unusual guests expected; I hope we can learn much from each other.”

The man’s voice was deep, but with nary a hint of accent beyond that, speaking Standard with more clarity than even some humans Athan had known.

Although Athan was slightly shocked at the Directors ability to speak English given the different shape and acoustics of his mouth he accepted the gesture
A: “That i hope as well director” short and to the point, as would be expected of a solider, however said in a much more relaxed tone

Athan also doesn’t appear to be armed, or if he is, the weapon is concealed.

Raasha wasn’t too surprised to find someone teleporting to the venue, given the nature of said venue and the guests he invited. What did surprise him was the newcomer’s origin, tracing such being a trivial matter for the Embassy’s vast sensor arrays. He excused himself from Athan as he went to greet the visitor from an estranged nation.

R: “I must say, I wasn’t expecting the United Dominions of Man to send a representative. At least, I assume that is the case, that or you’ve come of your own volition. Regardless, you are welcome here all the same, this is a place of learning, not politics.”

The body of the entity was that of a standard humanoid though lifeless as a corpse and hollowed out. Within a hole in their side grew vines and flowers. Then they spoke and the mouth of the body didn’t move as it was crumbled and rotten like a cadaver.
”I and my comrades are beyond that which you give name. Fictitious at best. They exist only in the mind of those who imagine. We are tangible, real, so to speak.”

Raasha simply observed the entity for a moment, trying to ascertain the nature of the odd entity with every instrument embedded in his form. He was about to make use of the Embassy’s sensor grid for the task, before shaking his head with a wistful smile; such investigations could wait.
R: “I get the distinct impression I’ll learn more from you than vice versa, and I look forward to it all the same. Would you care to meet your fellow?”
The… thing that greeted Rafael was almost anathema. It wore the smiling face of a flesh and blood creature, yet beneath the facade lay barely a natural strand of fibre, everything tinkered and tampered with in some way, if not outright replaced with a mechanical analogue.
