The man nodded affirmingly and then looked at both of the groups. Now he would just have to finish up the contracts and he would be able to report back to the regent.
"Very well, then all should be settled for the moment, excuse me for a while, whilst I finish up the contracts, if you wish to leave you are free to do so, otherwise feel free to make use of our hospitality until I return."
He stood up and left through one of the doors they had come in through and left them alone with the beverages and butlers the latter of which observed them with mild interest, apparently waiting to see if anything would be asked of them.
Whilst Invas finished up the contracts he obsrved the two groups in the meeting room with the security system, pondering what these two would bring to the table in future, he knew the Regent never did these things without reason and that he likely had his plans to make them somehow dependent on the Dawn though at the moment that was none of his business, after all, knowing when to keep his mouth shut was another of the qualities which had worked in his favour in the past.
About half an hour passed before the man returned the contracts and a number of savory snacks sourced from both local nations and the AD in tow over which the finalised contracts were discussed and signed.
To both guests surprise the contracts themselves were surprisingly clean, no fineprints, no catches, nothing that had not been discussed beforehand. About two hours later, the groups parted ways once more, ftl signatures disappearing into the stars, shortly followed by the disappearance of the merchant ships, leaving behind nothing but the void.
The greatest surprise in the aftermath of the meeting was likely on the Izeranians side, once they arrived at the world searched and provided by the Ascendant Dawn weeks later.
Where they had expected the bare minimum, perhaps wasteland with barely enough atmosphere to live, what they found was closer to a paradise world than a wasteland and catered with almost concerning accuracy to the Izeranians biology and was near one of the GIIG nodes under control of the Ascendant Dawn which had been mentioned in the contract.
They had not only provided them with a place to stay but one they could make their home, however, the implications and consequences of that remained unknown as of yet.
