A Valkyrie heavy cruiser, identified as the "Falcons Grace"Jumpes near the endges of the UEG, followed by three Heron-class destroyers.

Zendikarofthewest The edge of controlled space held nothing of value in the sector the squadron of ships had entered. It would be some time before they encountered an outpost or station orbiting a lone colony this far out.

Finally, their incursion pays off. The planet Ozon sat nestled between the three rocky unhabitable planets in its small solar system. System defences were low with numerous pocket-sized patrol craft, a corvette named Two to Tango and three older light destroyers that are an era behind in their design when compared to the latest light destroyers.

The corvette completed its designated patrol and began to turn around towards Ozon. The ship's main radar picked up on the four signatures of the unknown ships…hesitating to send out a signal.
However, it does send out a warning to the other ships on station, to alert them of the possible danger present.

Upon identification of the corvette, the group executes a turn, and begins to proceed toward the "Two to Tango"

Zendikarofthewest The Tango brings its missile pods online and removes the safety’s that had locked them down.

The warning transmission ends as quickly as it came.

After a moment, the communication channel crackles to life.

"This is the Heavy Cruiser "Falcon's Grace" of the Alkonester Confederation. we have come to open diplomatic inquiries with your... Government,."
In response to the corvettes missiles, the large turrets of the Valkyrie begin to come to life, and the broadside lasers begin powering up.

“Ma’am high energy readings detected from the cruiser group”. “New transmission received, patching it through to your station”.

The Tango holds its position. It’s thrusters pushing it along, steadily as possible.
The corvette possibly outgunned by the cruisers sends a warning to the other Borealian ships in system over SECNET (Secure Network) detailing that they have encountered more unknown entities requesting possible diplomatic ties, or a possible skirmish. The three light destroyers stop patrolling Ozon and order their fusion drives full power ahead to reach the Tango.

The Tango sends a transmission stating that they are open to cooperating for the sake of diplomacy, however, the cruiser group must power off their weapons. This is non-negotiable, and any actions of resisting this order will be seen as an act of hostile uncooperativeness. Or an act of war….

The broadside lasers slowly power down, as do the main turrets. However they still remain pointed at the corvette.
After a second, the comms channel crackles to life again
There. We have complied with youe request. Shall we begin the..diplomacy? We are from the Alkonester confederation, noble under the gaze of Brokenheart.

Zendikarofthewest The corvette gives them a brief and to the point comms response. They will be asked to send a diplomat and only a diplomat (security is allowed) to Atachi station orbiting around Ozon. From there, diplomatic relations can begin. The corvette closes its missile doors to show that it is not a threat to the Alkonester Confederation.

And so it begins. Let the serpant feed its fangs.

From the bottom of the cruiser, a bulky, yet startlingly maneuverable transport emerges. upon reciving the coordinates, it makes a quick FTL jump, emerging precisely two hundred meters from the station. After emerging from warp, a voice can be heard over comms.
This is Diplomatic Transport, requesting docking coordinates.

Zendikarofthewest When the small transport exists ftl, it is greeted by the station as well as a couple of ships defending it. The transport passes underneath the underbelly of a large arrowhead like destroyer, who's point defence cannons remain cold. The transport sees the path towards the docking portion of the station as the large doors open for it to berth.

Crew in environmental suits can be seen moving cargo across the hangar as well as transporting it across the stations outer surface.

As the craft comes in for a landing, it does two, very small, warps. One to correct its alignment relative to the docking bay, and another to get within twenty meters of the bay.

Zendikarofthewest The craft berths and awaits the all clear signal saying it is safe for them to leave their craft.

After receiving the all clear, the hatch opens, and three people step out. All are relatively small, about 5'0", and, are clad in green and grey diplomatic robes.

The diplomats are given the instruction to enter through a door leading them out of the stations hangar. A larger man by the name of Governor Pilus greets them. As is the human custom, he holds out a hand, much to the chagrin of his advisors and the ONI agent accompanying him. He slowly in English asks them to accompany him to a banquet hall prepared onboard the station. The large wooden table positioned in the centre of the room was filled with delicacies and delicious juice laden fruits shipped in from far off agro-worlds.

The first, apparently the leader, takes his hand in a firm handshake. After entering the banquet hall, he introduces himself as Rj'lkani, the Alkonesterian ambassador.

Zendikarofthewest They are motioned to sit, and are offered anything at the table.
Governor Pilus makes a grand gesture pulling a chair back to sit across from his guests.

To get into the nitty gritty of things, he asks simply who they are…

They sit down.
We are the Alkonester Confederation, guardians of the Broken World.
Whatever this 'Broken World' is, they seem to treat it with some reverence.

Zendikarofthewest As a greedier man, his eyes light up, intrigued by this "Broken World", the governor, asks "What is this Broken World you speak of? From the way you speak about it, it seems to be of upmost importance?"

They seem to... almost turn away at this, closing up.
It is a... holy symbol of our people, if you must know.
He almost seems like he is hiding something, but then again, he may just be nervous at dealing with the UEG.

At the very edge of UEG space, there is a small ripple, with space-time almost cleaving in two. Emerging from the depths, Flakken looked upon the great nation, a sad smile on his face.
It is but a pale shadow, is it not?
Indeed, but it is who we must contact. They are perhaps their only hope for survival.
If only they could have known.
At ONI's HQ, a message arrives, having been sent from an unknown location, impossible to backtrack.

Send one of your 'Prowlers' to the fallen moon. Send only one, and no others. We will know if you send more. Tell your leader that the Lost Ocean is approaching.
