Society + Politics
Generally closed off during the Malindos Administration until opened by the Office of Everdeen, the Society of the UFI is industrious and sightly militaristic. Poverty was out of control during the Malindos Administration until Falrus was able to fix it through EptaCorp. Around the time of Gejol's reign, civil unrest through his controversial handling of the Trigone Incident created a plethora of rebel groups, the most notable and largest of them all was the Decorum Intelligence Organization (DIO), a league of UFI and former UESO members as well as key figures that are against the oppression policies.

Government
The first formation of a government was during the Qaizon Administration during the last year of The Purge when refugees wanted the FI (Farron Institute) to be their home. Initially, a monarchy was popularized by the majority of the refugees (1) until the sudden murder of Farron, which then changed to democracy. The government had its rocky start during the Malindos Administration when it was forced to hide from the butchered IGS (Intergalactic Senate) who were trying to end the young nation early (2). Throughout the years, the characteristics vary from different presidents. The Malindos, Falrus, and Gejol Administrations were strict and imposed a heavy hand through information sharing while the Everdeen and Qaizon administrations were open yet cautious.

1) Thanks to the influence of Farron's son Facrion who was part of the royal advisory force of the Zqsal Empire, he suggested the idea to the public.

2) Facrion's descent to madness (thank you Losserant) and his cunning plans were able to control the IGS for a long period until his disappearance.

Economy + History
At its core, the UFI (United Farron Institute) originally thrives in medical research, from selling medicine to new treatment methods. During the purge, military R&D was at the top of the list as well from funding from other nations. After The Purge, they shifted their focus toward espionage work under the Malindos Administration, re-establishing the IGCIA (Intergalactic Central Intelligence Agency) spy network. The economy then expanded when the Falrus Administration made a megacorporation of mid to high-class residential and commercial buildings throughout the galaxies, known as "EptaCorp." Following a sudden flux of sales, the need for constant contact with foreign clients was endangering the secrecy of the UFI. To combat this, Kolp Gejol introduced a messaging system to limit the presence of GFI (Ground Field Intelligence) personnel to clients. Little did he know that a grand plan to expose the nation was at play. A client, "Ire," invited Kolp to a business meeting until he got tricked and was held, hostage. False UFI ships and miscommunications led to an involuntary planet invasion by the IGS (Intergalactic Senate). It almost exposed the faction, but thanks to Xoars' quick decision to utilize the new RRU (Rapid Response Unit) system, they were able to extract Kolp but with heavy casualties on civilians and soldiers. After the Trigone incident, Xoars was elected as head of the UFI. Solving the first red flag, the Office of Everdeen made multiple "dummy" corporations act as gates for transporting money and information to mask EptaCorp and UFI connections. Currently, the primary income is through EptaCorp and medical research.

Desc:
Hazmat Warfare Marines (HWM) is a special branch of the TRC (Troop Regiment Core) that specializes in gas and biological missions. Used commonly in boarding parties.

Desc:
Space Boarder Marines (SBM) is another branch of the TRC (Troop Regiment Core) that specializes in hand-to-hand combat and boarding spaceships.

Farron Institute Troops: Recon Elite Taskforce (RET)
Desc:
RETs are the super soldiers of the Farron Institute. Served as extra muscle on a critical mission. The original project, named Rhino, was started 40 years by the IGCIA before the Purge and it was a failure until the head of R&D, Dr. Aldor Fonalo revived it 30 years prior. It was a financial nightmare but it paid off with its first prototype armor and serum named HSS-1AaS and HSS-1SSa, however, it only works for humans. HSS-1SSa makes the user 3x stronger and reacts faster than an average human. A fit body is required to take the serum properly or else the user will have severe symptoms ranging from anaphylaxis like shock or seizures. The effects have been mitigated throughout the years but it wasn't fully out until 20 years after the breakthrough, Farron joined the project and improved the serum's capabilities making it able to heal any minor injuries at 3x the speed and fixed its anaphylaxis-like shock. Unfortunately, he was not able to find the certain chemical that is triggering the reported seizures. HSS-1AaS is a grey-looking curvy 20mm thick Polycarbonsteel body armor with 4 built-in hydrogen repulsors at the ankle and palms. Its power output is a uranium-hydrogen reactor located at the back of the armor. The helmet is a hammer head-like shape that has a butterfly-like visor and two attachment points at the side of the helmet. The known problems with the armor is that it is clunky and expensive to maintain. Combat effectiveness barely reached the expectations of the higher-ups so they put the project on hold. But then the Purge started and the IGCIA put the Rhino project on top priority, which fixed the armor's problem and majorly improved combat effectiveness. The project was completed in 2DTP and 1 million first-gen RETs have been made which the IGCIA used for recon and assault squads. After the fall of the IGCIA, Farron took hold of the Rhino project and improved the serum even further. Now able to slightly heal a few major injuries thanks to the new chemical that he added, named SVX-1a. It can fix a jugular vein for 1 minute and fully heal small cracks in bones. After the Purge, RETs are used for escorting dangerous criminals and high officials. Only 450,000 were left but after the FDL-6 incident, Bercult used the RETs heavily on the front lines. Lots of valuable combat data were archived to improve the RET, however, it cost them half of the surviving forces. Once the F.I. hid from the Zqsal Empire, the Forward Into Dusk protocol was put into effect

Farron Institute Tool: Emergency Electromagnetic Spectrum Communication (E.R.M.)
Desc:
The 'Emergency Electromagnetic Spectrum Communication' or E.R.M., is an emergency broadcast communication device that sends messages via Ho2He2GW (Hypo2-Hyper2 Gamma Waves). This method of sending messages/signals is extremely powerful and effective than using radio waves. The unique properties of Ho2He2GW are that it does not need a wireless medium to propagate; it can travel through space with no hindrance. Can emit stronger signals than regular gamma waves and can be masked. The disadvantages of using this are it can be distorted by non-radiation signals and can not penetrate solid structures.
The technical specifications of Ho2He2GW, it is identified as a VHF (Very High Frequency) and MF (Medium Frequency). Speeds can range from 560 GHz (Gigahertz) to 1,120 Ghz (140 to 280 TFLOP).

Procedures:
Farron Institute Procedure: FORWARD UNTO DUST
Desc:
The Forward Unto Dusk is an emergency protocol made by Farron whenever the F.I. is hiding or on its knees. The protocol is to scuttle any major structure that is known by enemies and remain hidden for a ??? time. The faction's efforts are then moved to R&D and spying, specifically the G.F.I. branch to continue monitoring all faction data and to potentially establish a lineage of spies who are in high positions to effectively control the inner workings of a nation.

Procedure G.T.H.O.F.S. (Gas the Heck Out of that Ship) consists of 3 squads of SMB (Space Boarder Marines) to secure a perimeter by and at the entrance of the enemy ship. Once secured, a squad of HWM (Hazmat Warfare Marines) will join the SMB to fill the ship with different types of gases. Squad 1 of SBM will scout the ship while the others are following a few feet away. There are 3 methods of this procedure depending on the situation.

Farron Institute Procedures: Boarding G.T.H.O.F.S 1, 2, or 3.
Desc:
Method 1, known to be the standard boarding procedure of the F.I., uses a strong type of laughing gas. Methods of administration of this gas are:

Planting gas bombs around the ship, commonly placed in corridors.
Adding the gas to the oxygen supply.

Method 2, the fast way, is to use the same gas as method 1, except the HWM will dispense it using a canister on their back.

Method 3, the lethal way, is to use a TRANS IMMUNE MECURY ONALY ROLA ACC gas or T.I.M.O.R.A, to overdose the crew's pain receptors and let them laugh until they perish.

Xoars looks very concerned during the interview.
"Unsurprisingly, Bercolt was the one behind this 'passive destruction' procedure. Does it break a few treaties back on Earth? Of course yes, but this is not the Milky Way anymore so I rather let him do his thing. Besides, a madman in his element can prove beneficial in terms of strategy... I hope."
